Originally from the U.S., Eric joins Bennett from Czech Republic—his most recent “home”—bringing with him extensive insight into both the world of relocation and education. During his numerous years abroad in Germany, France, Portugal, and Czech Republic, Eric filled a variety of roles in the world of education: language teacher, language school administrator and general educational “researcher” who located high-quality schools and instructors for international assignees and their families around the globe. In Paris, he devised quality language strategies for major CAC 40 firms such as Société Générale, Totale, and Cartier. In Prague, as the director of a major language school, Eric coordinated academic curricula for both face-to-face language and e-Learning programs, while executing innovative German, French, and Czech language programs. In Czech Republic, Eric coached firms such as JLL and Siemens, in addition to diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic
With firsthand experience with the challenges of relocating to a new country, Eric is sensitive to the demands on students, young and older, as they relocate to a new country and must also think about eventual repatriation. An experienced teacher across international curricula and a first-rate researcher, he excels at figuring out curricular solutions to meet students’ needs; he has prepared students for various international standardized exams including the Baccalauréat, Abitur, CAE, FCE, and Toefl.
Eric is an avid linguist who speaks English, German, French, and Portuguese fluently, as well as Spanish and Italian, and has a working knowledge of Czech. Passionate about the arts, Eric is also a professional Expressionist oil painter. He has exhibited his works in Paris, Berlin, Lisbon, and Washington D.C.
