Joan Brennan spent more than 25 years engaged with students and their families in the private school admissions process, Pre-Kindergarten through Graduate level. She brings a wealth of knowledge to her Bennett consulting work about the independent school process of admission, enrollment and financial aid.
In her role as Director of Admission and Financial Aid at The Agnes Irwin School outside of Philadelphia, and prior to that at Friends School Haverford, Joan helped guide families through the maze of questions, comparisons and decisions they confront when transferring from one school to another. She has worked with hundreds of families, giving particular care to those moving to the United States from other countries. Prior to her independent school experience, Joan was the Director of Admission at a graduate level training program and worked with college graduates, preparing them for careers as paralegals in law firms and in corporations.
Joan joined Bennett in 2010 and has become a core member of our consulting team, working primarily with families moving into the United States.
A graduate of Trinity College, Joan has traveled extensively in Europe, Africa and Latin America and is a certified Wilson reading instructor. She resides with her husband in suburban Philadelphia.
