Susan Merrill is a newcomer to the Bennett ranks, and joins us as a college specialist, bringing
with her more than 20 years of teaching and college consulting experience in both public and private U.S. schools.
A graduate of Franklin and Marshall College with a dual degree in Biology and Psychology, Susan assisted with college counseling in the gifted program for two public schools. Following this, she became Director of College Counseling for students with learning differences at a private Quaker School, prior to joining the college counseling team at a rigorous private school outside of Philadelphia. She continues her college counseling in the private school setting, in addition to teaching Psychology and sharing her expertise with Bennett clients.
Summer 2018, Susan is co-running Bennett’s college camp—a three-day workshop during which students complete the common application, including essays, prior to the beginning of the school year; it’s worth a mention that Susan’s own college essay was published in a college edition of Newsweek in 1998.
We are very happy to have Susan aboard!
