A veteran of 23+ years as a teacher and Director of Curriculum and Professional Development in international schools in Honduras, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and Egypt, Claire Brusseau brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her Bennett consulting. She has also worked with American corporations overseas, consulting on school management and professional development.
Claire joined Bennett in 2006, initially as a teacher hired to oversee the distance learning program that Bennett had put in place for a group of United States and Canadian students who were on assignment in a town in Iceland where there was no English medium school. Since then, she has worked with many Bennett families, primarily those moving to destinations outside the United States.
Prior to joining Bennett, Claire spent six years as Director of Professional Development in a New Jersey public school. Her B.A and M.A., both in Education, are from the University of Seattle and the University of Washington, respectively.
Given her background and her calm and unruffled temperament, Claire often finds herself working on particularly complicated cases, frequently with families with special needs children. A profoundly gentle and kind person, Claire is well suited to soothing anxious parents, and the rest of us also appreciate her perspective and warmth.
