Dr. Margaret J. Kay, Ed.D. NCSP, DABPS is a PA and DE licensed psychologist, a Nationally Certified School Psychologist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychological Specialties with Forensic Specialization in Educational and School Psychology. As a consultant for Bennett, she provides expert counsel on all issues related to special needs and the placement of BSW’s special needs clients.
Dr. Kay has been in private practice in Lancaster, PA since 1980 and performs Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE’s) for school-age children, college students and adults with special needs. She is a recognized expert in State and Federal courts in the areas of Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Non-Verbal Learning Disability (NLD), Asperger’s Syndrome, High Functioning Autism (HFA), Dysgraphia, Disorders of Written Expression, Tourette syndrome, Down Syndrome and other specific learning disabilities. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, the American Board of Psychological Specialties, the International Dyslexia Association, the National Association of School Psychologists, the Learning Disabilities Association, the National Center for Learning Disabilities, the American College of Forensic Examiners and the Tourette Syndrome Association.
In addition to providing counsel on the needs of Bennett’s special needs students, Peg is a favorite contributor to Bennett’s bi-annual training sessions. She provides the Bennett team with regular updates on diagnoses, testing, and recent developments and discoveries in the world of special needs, and her wisdom and experience are invaluable additions to our shared library of knowledge.
